Falkland Islands (Islas Malvinas)
The Falkland Islands or Islas Malvinas, as Argentina fondly refers to it, are located approximately 300 miles East of Argentina, and 4000 miles from Britain. In the 1800s the Islands were part of Argentina's territory but had been claimed by the U.K. after WW1.
